The survey of the bell tower was carried out in 2023 as part of a process documenting its existing condition and understanding its spatial and structural logic.

In 2025, the structure was designated as a protected monument (No. 526030, Government Gazette FEK D 29/30.01.2025), as it constitutes a representative example of the architecture of the second half of the 19th century and the only surviving monument of the post-Byzantine settlement of Mylochori.

The survey was not approached as a mere technical procedure, but as an act of reading the space — a study of form, structure, and the traces of decay through time.
